Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year professional experience teaching Burmese, Filipino, Hmong, Indonesian, Javanese, Khmer, Lao, Thai, or Vietnamese. Using the communicative approach at a college level is preferred.
- Familiarity in the field of Southeast Asian language pedagogy. Materials development and curriculum design experience preferred.
- Strong communication skills.

If you are applying for a ‘Language Coordinator’ position, we request that you also submit a ‘Lecturer’ application in case we do not run enough levels to warrant a Coordinator position. You may use the same application materials.
The overall modality for SEASSI 2024 will be face-to-face in Madison, Wisconsin, except for the Khmer course which will run in a fully synchronous, remote format. There is a possibility that the modality for some languages will switch to fully synchronous, online. This switch is contingent upon student enrollment and specialized need. Final modality decisions are intended to be made in April 2024.
