The annual WISLI Student Conference provides an opportunity for students at WISLI institutes and UW-Madison to present original research on various disciplines across area and transnational studies in Africa, Brazil, Central Eurasia, the Middle East and Mediterranean, Scandinavia, South Asia, and Southeast Asia. Abstract submissions are organized into thematic panels of two to four papers, with a moderated Q+A session following the presentations.
Past panels included presentations on thematic topics such as: economics, politics, literature, linguistics, second language acquisition, land development and economy, inter-cultural collaboration, identity, health, colonialism, religious studies, military, film studies, and more!
